Avobar makes a long-awaited return, and this time it’s for good. Here’s what you need to know about London’s first permanent avocado restaurant
By Helen Brown
Since we STILL cannot get enough of the green superfruit, the first all-avocado café is making a welcome return on 24 August, and this time it’s permanent. Avobar popped up last year to give us a taste of what was to come, and is now back to set up sticks for good on Covent Garden’s Henrietta street.
The menu will consist of an eclectic mix of classic dishes with a creative twist. Naturally, guests can expect avo-toast galore with a choice of ‘toasts’ and toppings. The notorious Avo Bun Burger will be back so napkins at the ready, alongside egg dishes, salads and small plates. Complimenting the food will be a selection of artisan coffees, teas and drinks including beetroot lattes, smoothies and juices.
Interiors-wise, think laid-back California cool with distressed white timber, abundant hanging foliage and eclectic prints and textiles. A millennial’s dream.
In addition to the all-avo food menu, Avobar will have a range of avocado-based skincare products on offer such as avocado oil, along with a small lifestyle retail offering which is, of course, all avo inspired.
Opens 24 August
Avobar 23-24 Henrietta Street, London, WC2; avobar.co.uk
