Banish the blush with six of the best green-tinted redness neutralisers
Words Joy Montgomery
Make-up artists have been harnessing the complexion-enhancing powers of colour correcting for decades. However, it has only been in recent years that brands have caught on, with high street and high-end brands alike creating their own pastel-coloured offerings.
The principle of colour correcting is based on the colour wheel theory. The idea is that you can neutralise different types of problem pigmentation with colours at the opposite end of the spectrum. For example, if you suffer from blue-tinged dark circles, then reach for a peachy-coloured concealer.
When it comes to application, the main thing to remember is that these products should only be used as an under layer. Always apply your usual concealer over the top to avoid a multi-coloured visage. Remember: less is more!
Our favourite colour-correcting hue has got to be green. Perfect for reducing that niggling redness many of us suffer from, this will be your new favourite a multi-purpose product, whether it’s for rosacea, spots or broken capillaries.
