The hugely popular Saffron Walden attraction has turned its attention to nature
Audley End Miniature Railway has, for over six decades enthralled families in Essex and beyond. Once it was all about the steam locomotives, but over recent times it has introduced a whole host of additional features that has seen it become one of Essex’s top family attractions.
The May 2021 half-term holiday saw a Wildlife Week staged, which served as an introduction to their new Nature Corner. This is a wonderful part of Audley End Miniature Railway where kids – both big and little – can encounter the big world of little creatures. Here they will be able check in to Bug Hotels and take flight at Bird Boxes, plus a lot more, where children will be able to learn all about the natural world around them.
Nature Corner is yet another reason to visit Audley End Miniature Railway. Another recent addition was the Fairy and Elf trail, all at home in their wooden treehouses, but we still can’t get enough of the railway itself. You can take one of their steam or diesel engines through the beautiful Audley End Estate Woodland, designed by Capability Brown. It features hundreds of majestic trees and is flooded with wildlife. A top Essex attraction that deservedly continues to thrive.
