The Top Five Places To Drink Beer In London
This Monday it was National White Wine Day – and we had the pleasure of listing our favourite wine bars across London. It’s as if the heavens looked down on the non-wine drinking males across the globe and said ‘we need to give them something to celebrate’. Today, It’s International Beer Day, and below are our top five spots to enjoy a pint across London.
Fourpure Taproom
London’s most popular craft beer Fourpure has created their very own taproom located on Bermondsey’s Beer Mile. Serving up their own beers, including tropical tipples such as their India Pale Ale with notes of pine and caramel and the Citrus India Pale Ale with notes of orange and mango as well as some tasty guest beers, it’s the ultimate drinking destination for the craft beer junkie. Food is available from Oh My Dog!, who will be serving up a selection of hot dogs and burgers, as well as a number of vegan choices.

Darwin Brasserie at SkyGarden
Although this venue doesn’t have the largest or most exotic beer selection on this list, it’s still a must visit venue to sit back with a Heineken (note – they have it on draft). Guests can enjoy a spectacular view looking out to the Shard and across the Thames, whilst taking in the breadth of flowers and ferns that flourish in the SkyGarden year round. The venue serves up bottled beers and ciders as well as their stellar cocktail menu. Try the cocktail of the day if you dare.

The Euston Tap
If you haven’t visited, you definitely will have seen it: the peculiar looking Victorian gatehouse that sits just outside Euston station in Euston Square Gardens. Perhaps not the first venue that would spring to mind whilst deciding where to have your Saturday evening pint because of its location, but guests should look beyond that and visit for its 47 taps of the freshest beer in the City.

Beer Merchant’s Tap
The Beer Merchant’s Tap, located in Hackney Wick, is the ultimate drinking spot for the craft beer connoisseur. Both a beer bar and a bottle shop, the venue has 20 keg taps, two cask pumps and over 500 bottles and cans of beer from the best breweries around the globe. Hungry punters can enjoy a range of cheese and meat platters as well as delicious treats from street food trucks on weekends.

Howling Hops Tank Bar
Another East London gem is the Howling Hops Tank Bar. Howling Hops was born out of a real passion and desire to make good beer readily available. In 2011, the team behind Howling Hops opened the Cock Tavern on Mare Street as Hackney’s first brewpub with the simple goal to make some interesting beer – and that they did. In the first two years of being open, the team brewed over 100 different beers. Now, guests can enjoy a range of super fresh beers straight from the tanks in their Hackney Wick location, including the Whisper Kicker and Function Void.
