London Marathon
The London Marathon is the biggest single-day fundraiser in the world and sees around 38,000 serious competitors, charity fun-runners and celebrities tackle the gruelling 26.2-mile route around the capital. Whether you’ve secured your spot this year or are cheering from the sidelines, it’s set to take the city by storm.
Fashioned from Nature
With fast fashion constantly hitting headlines, this eagerly anticipated exhibition goes back as far as 1600 to explore the complex relationship between fashion and nature. With fashionable dress presented alongside natural history specimens, innovative new fabrics and dying processes, the exhibition invites visitors to think about the materials of fashion and the sources of their clothes.
National Tea Day Workshop
In celebration of National Tea Day, Hackney Herbal are hosting a Herbal Tea Blending workshop where guests can discover the secrets to making the perfect herbal brew. The workshop will guide you through the properties of a range of culinary, medicinal and wild herbs and how to combine them into unique blends. You’ll get to blend and taste your own creations during the class as well as making a pack of herbal tea that you can take home.
The Hoxton Pre-Marathon Shakeout with Lululemon
The Hoxton has teamed up with Lululemon for a runners reward like no other. Completely free to attend, guests and those setting out on the ambitious 26-mile slog can drop by on Saturday 21 to get their hair braided by Blue Tit (free), have a sports massage from Recovery Massage Therapy (free), and join in on a workshop covering pre-race nerves and more.
Bottomless Brunch at Le Pont de la Tour
This weekend, iconic London Bridge institution Le Pont de la Tour is adding to the city’s brunch scene with a bottomless offering to beat all others. Head over this weekend for Head Chef Julien Imbert’s take on authentic, rural French dishes including black truffled scrambled eggs, croque madame and his grandmother’s favourite, pain perdu.
Spring Break…. In Neverland
London party purveyors, Shuttlecock Inc are distilling everything you loved about MTV Spring Break in the late 90s and letting it loose on an immersive adult playground version of JM Barrie’s Neverland.
