Our Rhodian odyssey begins at the stunning Lindos Grand Resort & Spa, an adults-only retreat overlooking the sparkling Cove of Vylcha. Upon arrival, we’re immediately struck by the spectacular view from reception across the crystal-clear infinity pool. Shades of blue beckon us towards our luxurious suite perched just up the hill with even more breathtaking Greek vistas.
Our spacious and modern suite boasts a marble bathroom and a welcoming verandah with stunning cove views. The cherry on top? Our very own L-shaped private pool – a feature that quickly becomes a joyous habit during our stay.
The resort’s location is ideal, with the beautifully balmy waters of Vylcha Cove just a short walk away. For ultimate relaxation, we indulge in therapeutic massages at the tranquil Evridiki Spa. Nearby, the charming Lindos Village offers a delightful excursion. We explore its whitewashed buildings, winding alleyways, and shops brimming with irresistible mementos. The adventurous climb of 294 steps to the Temple of Athenia Lindia (Lindos Acropolis) rewards us with fabulous views before we return to our luxurious haven.
Lindos Grand is a real treat for the taste buds. From the sumptuous breakfast buffet at Terra Mar to alfresco Greek and Mediterranean lunches at Agistri, every meal is a delight. Fine dining reaches new heights at Thalatta on the hotel’s roof terrace, where we dine under a rising moon. The culinary crescendo comes on our final night with a superb Pan Asian banquet prepared before our eyes at Yume Mou – truly a feast to remember.
Gennadi Grand Resort: A Village-Like Paradise
Our journey continues at the equally spectacular Gennadi Grand Resort. This welcoming retreat feels like a charming village, with rooms sprinkled throughout beautiful gardens and all paths leading to an expansive beach. Our suite is chic and contemporary, complete with another private pool (we could definitely get used to this!).
Days at Gennadi Grand are filled with gourmet experiences in the sunshine. We start with one of the most indulgent breakfast menus ever at Level 2, accompanied by stunning Mediterranean views. Throughout the day, we treat ourselves to snacks and cocktails at the pool and beach bars and tuck into delightful Mezedakia (small plates) at Ouzo. As night falls, innovative fine dining awaits at Edesma, where each dish is served with passion.
Between meals, we embrace the local culture by learning to craft exotic cocktails and traditional Greek dishes – the perfect way to take some of that Gennadi magic home with us.
A Glimpse of History in Rhodes Old Town
No visit to Rhodes would be complete without exploring the fascinating Old Town. This enchanting blend of medieval charm, rich history, and vibrant cultures brings the past alive in every story and every stone of its ancient walls. We conclude our visit with a memorable dinner in the cozy courtyard of Marco Polo restaurant, savoring an array of mouthwatering dishes by candlelight.
