Towersey Festival, the UK’s longest-running festival since 1965, has unveiled another wave of inspiring programming for its 60th and last-ever event. Organisers have added a fabulous range of street theatre, one-off special performances, and even more family entertainment for this momentous event. This celebratory finale will be in full swing when festival goers step onto the site and immerse themselves in an abundance of culture, traditional dance, and creative experiences. Friday Night Sims

Racers and gamers can experience the ultimate racing thrill with the successful launch of the new Friday Night Sims at Silverstone Museum. The new evening events ensure speed stars can enjoy numerous driving and racing challenges during adrenaline-fuelled activities running throughout the entire evening from 5 pm to 9 pm. The exclusive evening events give visitors the opportunity to get behind the wheel and drive the legendary Silverstone GP circuit in the driver’s seat of one of the museum’s state-of-the-art racing simulators.

Henley Country Craft Show

The UK’s largest country craft show returns, featuring over 200 stalls. Set in the stunning landscape of Stonor Park, the show will feature artisan shopping, delicious food, family entertainment, craft demonstrations, a petting zoo, and so much more. With over 200 stalls, explore marquees packed with handmade jewellery, homeware, clothing, artisan food and drink, and lots more—lovingly created by specialist craftspeople.

Jools Holland

Location: Windsor Racecourse

Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra head to Windsor this month for a special open-air performance featuring Gilson Lavis and guest vocalists Ruby Turner, Louise Marshall, Sumudu Jayatilaka, and introducing Toby Lee. The special, non-race day event has already seen a huge response from people all over Berkshire. Event organiser Jonathan Ware says, “We’ve been hoping to bring Jools to the area to perform for some time, and we couldn’t be happier to have him joining our Summertime Live weekend this August. Tickets went on sale last week, and the response so far has been huge. Jools’ popularity with people of all ages and musical tastes really shows. It’s going to be a fantastic evening.”

Classic Ibiza

Location: Windsor Racecourse

Summertime Live returns to Windsor Racecourse for its sixth year and the biggest event to date. This event has gone from strength to strength since 2018 and now features three stages of live music and DJs, headlined by the Classic Ibiza orchestra. Expect performances from The Shapeshifters, Majestic (KISS FM), Lisa Maffia, 24-hour Garage Girls, Fabio & Grooverider, Artful Dodger, and more. Along with some of the UK’s biggest dance acts, festivalgoers can enjoy a variety of bars, street food, festival fashion stalls, and live entertainers.

Event organiser Anthony Ellis says, “We are so excited to head into our sixth year of Summertime Live Windsor. This event started as a small concert and has grown into an all-day event with multiple stages. Myself and my business partner Jonathan were born and raised in the area, so it’s great to see an event of this nature growing in Windsor.”

Rocky Horror Show

Location: Wycombe Swan Theatre

Singing superstar Jason Donovan is set to thrill theatre audiences later this year as he joins the cast of Richard O’Brien’s legendary rock ‘n’ roll musical, the Rocky Horror Show, to star as Frank ‘n’ Furter in the 2024/2025 UK tour. The Rocky Horror Show tells the story of Brad and his fiancée Janet, two squeaky-clean college kids who meet Dr. Frank ’n’ Furter by chance when their car breaks down outside his house whilst on their way to visit their favourite college professor. It’s an adventure they’ll never forget, with fun, frolics, frocks, and frivolity, bursting with timeless songs and outrageous outfits.
