An Evening with Rick Stein will see the culinary legend dish-up his favourite memories from nearly 50 years of gastronomic experience. Delving deep into his lifelong love affair with cooking, this live stage show will explore his unwavering devotion to the brilliance of great British produce. Revelations from the kitchen, musical delights, poetic interludes and stories of global adventures are all on the menu.
Dragons

Dates: 7-8 March
Venue: MK Theatre
South Korean dance icon Eun-Me Ahn brings her multi-media dance spectacular Dragons, presented by Dance Consortium, to Buckinghamshire In Asia, dragons represent resilience, joy and optimism. They are the inspiration for this multi-media spectacular, a vibrant swirling hallucinatory mix of dance, music, holograms and stylish costumes. Ahn and her company of seven extraordinary dancers inhabit a constantly changing theatrical space of writhing silver vacuum hoses and the forests and cloudy skies of Taeseok Lee’s vivid and colourful projections. Entering this fantastical world are holograms of five young guest dancers, four of them born in the year 2000, a Year of the Dragon.

Finalists from the Bucks Photography and Young Photography Open competition are now on show at Discover Bucks Museum in Aylesbury. The exhibition showcases stunning photographs that capture the landscape, people, heritage, wildlife and beauty of Buckinghamshire, all taken by talented local photographers. Both amateur and professional photographers of all ages have taken part and were inspired by the theme of ‘Celebrating Buckinghamshire’.

Stick a pony in your pocket – The Trotters are back in Only Fools and Horses The Musical.
Join the gang and take a trip back in time, where it’s all kicking off in Peckham. While the yuppie invasion of London is in full swing, love is in the air as Del Boy sets out on the rocky road to find his soul mate, Rodney and Cassandra prepare to say ‘I do’, and even Trigger is gearing up for a date (with a person!). Meanwhile, Boycie and Marlene give parenthood one final shot and Grandad takes stock of his life and decides the time has finally arrived to get his piles sorted.
Pretty Vacant

Bringing to life iconic punk songs and legends is the riotous new show Pretty Vacant. Joining the previously announced show as the Narrator is Coronation Street star Kevin Kennedy. Taking audiences on a nostalgic journey from the beginnings of punk in the 1970s, to its later movements in the 80s and 90s, this high energy, punk rock show tells the story of a music genre that changed the world for the first time ever.

Wildlife Photographer of the Year

‘No Access’, British photographer Ian Wood’s perfectly timed capture of an ambling Eurasian
badger glancing up at some rather familiar graffiti in St Leonards-on-Sea, England, has won the tenth edition of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year People’s Choice Award 2024. The 25 nominated images for this year’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year People’s Choice Award received a record number of votes with over 76,000 wildlife photography and nature fans from around the world voting for their favourite image. All images will be displayed both online and on the interactive voting screens in the flagship exhibition at the Natural History Museum, London, on until 29 June 2025.

Outside the Box Comedy Club returns to Windsor with headliner Sara Pascoe. Known for her sharp wit and unique insights, Sara has starred in award-winning shows Live at the Apollo, Taskmaster and QI. Sara will be supported by some top comedians on the night, with the full lineup to be announced.
Newbury Sounds

Venue: Corn Exchange Newbury
On Friday 14th March, the Corn Exchange Newbury will welcome Newbury Sounds, an exciting evening of live music, to their stage in support of their Old Library Campaign. Bringing together talented local artists, this special event promises a night of fantastic performances and plenty of community spirit, all while raising vital funds for the transformation of the historic Old Library building into a new home for Corn Exchange Newbury’s creative participation work.
Curated by local musician Ben Richardson, the event showcases a diverse lineup of talent. Ben is a member of A Dirty Soul who will be launching their debut EP, The Bloodline EP, and delivering a show packed with indie and rock ‘n’ roll influences from bands like BRMC, Nirvana and Oasis. Headlining alongside A Dirty Soul will be Revenant, a powerhouse rock band that burst onto the scene in 2023. Their high-energy sound, infused with a southern rock twist, has already been given critical acclaim, and their debut EP, What A Time To Be Alive, has been labeled a must-listen.
Joining them is the newly formed Sion Whiley Band, making their debut in Newbury with a fresh and vibrant energy that is sure to electrify the audience. Adding to the night’s dynamic mix, Colorado River will bring their heartfelt blend of country and folk, a genre that was once considered niche in Newbury, but has since found a passionate following. Formed in 2018 by Milena and Ken, and later joined by local musician Nathan Holland on drums, the band promises to deliver a performance filled with warmth and authenticity. Also taking to the stage are Infinite Horse, a three-piece alt-rock act originally from Newbury and now based in Bristol. Comprising Greg Sharrett on guitars and vocals, Pete Edward on bass and vocals, and Adam King on drums, the band brings a raw and immersive energy, especially with their latest single, Thanks.
All proceeds from this incredible night will go to the Corn Exchange Newbury’s Old Library Campaign. This campaign will fund the reopening of the historic Old Library, on Cheap Street in Newbury, transforming it into a thriving arts hub complete with dedicated engagement spaces, a small Café Bar, and places to gather.
