Living History Weekend

Venue: STOW Maries Great War Aerodrome
STOW Maries Great War Aerodrome, the largest surviving World War One aerodrome in the world, is gearing up for a summer of exciting events, as well as launching a brand-new exhibition. The Arts Council England accredited Museum, set in the Essex countryside between Chelmsford and Maldon, features award-winning exhibitions in original WWI buildings and modern hangars. Their Living History Weekend, on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th July, will bring history alive from from the 11th century to World War Two on site.

Voyager 2000

The BT Voyager 2000, an early interactive TV system, was first trialled in Colchester back in 1995, which made significant contributions to the world’s ever expanding communication networks. Taking inspiration from these groundbreaking developments and inventions Voyager 2000: Worldbuilding & Wonder? will explore how – historically and in contemporary culture – artists and communities have utilized machines, technology, networks, and virtual worlds for imagination and connection, including the problems with them.

The Jacksons have been announced to headline a huge summer triple-header of disco favourites as part of Heritage Live Festival’s 2025 summer outdoor shows, set in the stunning grounds of English Heritage’s Audley End House & Gardens. The show will see the legendary hitmakers joined by special guests Sister Sledge, featuring founding member Debbie Sledge, and Miss Disco, the UK’s premier live disco revue band.
