The Return

Uberto Pasolini’s The Return reunites The English Patient co-stars, Academy Award nominee Ralph Fiennes and Academy Award winner Juliette Binoche, in a powerfully original and psychologically revealing adaptation of Homer’s Odyssey. After 20 years away, Odysseus (Fiennes) washes up on the shores of Ithaca, haggard and unrecognizable. The King has returned from the Trojan War, but much has changed in his kingdom. His beloved wife Penelope (Binoche) is a prisoner in her own home, hounded by suitors vying to be king and planning the death of Telemachus, the son he never knew. Shattered by his experience of war, Odysseus must rediscover his strength in order to win back all that he has lost.

Nick Mohammed is Mr. Swallow… The Taskmaster loser and Ted Lasso star (and his critically acclaimed alter-ego Mr. Swallow) previews his brand new show ahead of a national tour. As per, expect magic, music and a whole load of brand new mistakes. Nick has received feverish critical acclaim for his previous Mr. Swallow shows Dracula, Houdini and A Christmas Carol (ish) alongside his first UK tour The Very Best & Worst of Mr. Swallow.

Dinosaur Adventure Live

When a satellite tasked with controlling the island’s weather systems malfunctions, chaos erupts. The island’s tropical climate spirals leading to one big Jurassic storm. If not stopped, it will erase all existence of the island… forever! The mission: find the code hidden deep within the island, reboot the satellite and save the dinosaurs before it’s too late.

One sunny day in the middle of a flourishing career, Miles suddenly suffered a brain seizure. This led to the discovery of a tumour the size of a cherry tomato, and a rather pressing need to undergo major neurosurgery. Obviously, one doesn’t wish to make a big deal of it, but the experience has left him with a story to tell and a few things that he’d like to share with the room. So that’s exactly what he’s doing in his new show On I Bang – a tale about surprise, fear, luck, love and qualified medical practitioners.

Hertford Art Trail

At Various Venues

Community favourite, the Hertford Art Trail will be returning for 2025. This respected and popular free event once again will showcase wonderful pieces by local artists and makers across the centre of Hertford. Pop-up exhibition spaces will appear across Hertford – from retailers to bars and cafes; beauty salons to gift shops. Participating artists are each teamed up with a venue to display and sell their work for the duration of the trail.

John Power

Venue: The Eric Morecambe Centre

John Power is an Irish-English singer, songwriter and guitarist. He was the frontman of the Britpop band Cast, and the bassist and backing vocalist for The La’s from 1986 to 1991. Forming Cast in 1991, John sang, wrote songs, and played guitar for one of Britpop’s pre-eminent bands – securing two platinum-selling records before returning to the charts in 2024 with the magnificent Love Is The Call. John’s solo career produced some of his best work and now it’s time to reflect on Britpop, the hits and more in this intimate show.

Hertfordshire Natural History Society’s volunteers have been keeping track of local wildlife since 1875. This 150th anniversary exhibition celebrates the iconic flora, fauna and habitats of our county. It looks back at Victorian origins and forward to the future: recording change in challenging times for the natural world. Come and learn about the natural history of Hertfordshire, then pick up one of the nature trails and explore the natural world all around you.
