Lambing Weekend

Dates: 10th -11th May
Venue: Oaklands College

Whilst enjoying a visit to Knebworth House, Gardens and Park from 3rd-5th May you can attend the Hertfordshire Garden Show at no additional charge. Ashwell at Home

Ashwell at Home is an annual fundraising event held in the village of Ashwell in North Herts, when this beautiful and historic village welcomes visitors from near and far for a whole day of entertainment. It promises to be a seminal year representing 40 years of welcoming visitors to experience and learn about our unique living-history. From the treasures unearthed from the Saxon settlements to the stories of the great plague scratched into the church walls during the 12th century to the current vibrant arts and craft scene, including ancient basket weaving skills, medieval dance, walking talks, and several active potters and painters.
Murder, She Didn’t Write

Venue: Gordon Craig Theatre
The improvised whodunit and firm Edinburgh Festival Fringe favourite, Murder, She Didn’t Write, is heading on a UK tour. This cleverly comedic show will see improv legends Degrees of Error perform an entirely improvised murder mystery each night, across the country. In this interactive show, the audience becomes the author as a classic Agatha Christie-inspired murder mystery is written live.

British craft takes centre stage at the flagship festival, Living Crafts, which is taking place at Hatfield Park. Slam Dunk

Dates: 24 May
Venue: Hatfield Park
Slam Dunk, the UK’s biggest independent rock festival is back for 2025, with demand for this year’s edition at an all-time-high. Following a huge first drop of artists including A Day To Remember, Electric Callboy and Neck Deep, Slam Dunk revealed the final, remaining acts for 2025 which included Finch, Streetlight Manifesto, Hot Milk, Wargasm, Twin Atlantic, Kid Bookie and more. Slam Dunk will return to Hatfield Park on Saturday 24th May, before heading north to Leeds, Temple Newsam on Sunday 25th May 2025.
Foodies Festival

Dates: 30 May-1 June
This year’s St Albans Foodies Festival is set to be their biggest celebration yet of top chefs, tasty food, delicious drinks and live music. See headliners Symphonic Ibiza performing live on Friday 30th May, Example on Saturday 31st May and Blue on Sunday 1st June, plus watch MasterChef Champions, Michelin-starred and top local chefs cooking their signature summer recipes in the La Española Chefs Theatre.
The South

Dates: 4th May
Venue: The Horn St Albans
The South are back on the road and do what they do best – perform the songs of that great British pop institution, The Beautiful South, to the thousands of fans of these timeless classics. The South are an impressive 9-piece band who feature former members of The Beautiful South including singer Alison Wheeler and lifelong sax player Gaz Birtles. Since the demise of The Beautiful South in 2007, this exciting live band have spent 15 years touring the theatres and festivals of the UK up and down the country, bringing back the full sound and arrangements of treasured songs.
SMR 25

Dates: 23rd – 25th May
Venue: Stevenage Football Club
Stevenage Football Club hands over the keys to The Lamex Stadium this late May Bank Holiday for an incredible and unmissable weekend of live music. KB Concerts will present SMR 25 – three days of headline shows that will see nearly 10,000 people per day head to Stevenage to enjoy a huge rock line-up on Friday 24th with Skindred headlining, a massive pop/dance lineup on Saturday 25th, topped by Ella Henderson, and a legendary indie lineup on Sunday 26th with Richard Ashcroft as headline act.
The Lamex Stadium will be rocking on Friday 24th May as Skindred take to the stage with the unique ‘ragga-metal’ sound that has seen them play every huge festival from Download to Reading, win awards from MOBO, Kerrang!, and Metal Hammer, and score 4 UK top 30 albums including recent #2 smash ‘Smile’.
