Sopwell House, along with Vivek Singh’s critically acclaimed restaurant, The Cinnamon Club, have come together to host a Diwali celebration like no other in the stunning Georgian hotel in St Albans, Hertfordshire. The hotel’s Executive Head Chef Gopi Chandran has partnered with the award-winning Executive Chef Vivek Singh and Group Training and Development Chef Rakesh Nair of The Cinnamon Collection to throw an exclusive Diwali Ball, complete with celebratory menu, live entertainment and fireworks.

This month the de Havilland Philharmonic Orchestra (dHPO) will be performing alongside award-winning children’s illustrator and author James Mayhew for a wonderful Christmas concert for the whole family – Sounds of the Sea. Hosted by UH Arts + Culture, the Orchestra will be playing fabulous sea-themed favourites by Mendelssohn, Debussy, Wagner and Rimsky-Korsakov, while Mayhew paints his illustrations live on stage and projected onto a big screen for the audience to enjoy.

With an invitation to his friends, Dragon, Alien and Unicorn to join him, you can expect comedy and chaos as they help to create a magical show, learning about the joy of books and friendship along the way.
