Springtime Babies

Dates: Until 20 May
Venue: Temple Newsam
Visit Home Farm as they gear up for spring and welcome their new born lambs, piglets and other farm animals. There will be crafts in the Joiner’s Shop, a trail round the farm, and you might even be able to feed some of the animals. Home Farm is Temple Newsam’s working conservation farm, and is one of the largest rare-breed centres in Europe.

The Ultimate 70s Show

Dates: 21 March
Venue: King’s Hall, Ilkley
It was the decade that fashion forgot – it’s time for audiences to dig out their tank tops and polish their platforms, the 70s are back in town. Martin Metcalf, a former guitarist with legendary group Geordie, and Danny Needham from Venom, are two of the seven 70s rockers and session musicians who make up the Ultimate 70s Show. Intent on re-creating the era they love, they promise fans an authentic evening of 70s classic hits.
Russell Wilson

Venue: Yorkshire Sculpture Park
An exhibition of new nature-inspired paintings by Russell Wilson opens at Yorkshire Sculpture Park (YSP) this spring. Installed in the YSP Centre, A Spring Table showcases 48 colourful new paintings by the Derbyshire-based artist. Celebrating the abundance of nature on display in spring, each painting captures a feeling of optimism, with bright light and warmth.

Saturday Comedy Club

Venue: HiFi Comedy Club
They say laughter is the best medicine and comedy lovers in Leeds are now in for an extra dose from the city’s best-loved and longest established comedy club. The HiFi Comedy Club, which has been running its hugely popular show every Saturday night since 2001, is now adding a new Saturday afternoon performance to its schedule. The ‘afternoon’ comedy session will take place every Saturday at 2pm and will play host to three of the best stand-up comedians from around the UK.

Picturing Pride

Venue: Scarborough Art Gallery
Scarborough Pride, in collaboration with Scarborough Museums and Galleries, proudly presents Picturing Pride, an evocative new exhibition created by photographer Aidan Brooks. This vibrant collection of portraits, captured during Scarborough Pride 2024, offers a striking visual celebration of the town’s diverse LGBTQ+ community. Each portrait tells a unique story, celebrating individuality and pride while showcasing the rich tapestry of LGBTQ+ identities in Scarborough.

A Streetcar Named Desire

“How strange that I should be called a destitute woman! When I have all of these treasures locked in my heart.” In the sultry back streets of 1940s New Orleans, fading Southern belle Blanche DuBois seeks solace with her estranged sister Stella. Blanche’s delicate sensibilities create instant suspicion in Stella’s unrestrained husband Stanley, as they collide in a struggle for Stella’s heart. As their simmering feud escalates, past truths begin to surface and both sisters must choose between fantasy and reality.
Day Fever

Early in 2024, a bold idea was born between friends actress Vicky McClure, filmmaker and broadcaster Jonny Owen, and Jon McClure, frontman of Reverend & The Makers: a daytime clubbing experience that’s all about fun, freedom, and fabulous tunes. What started as a one-off event in Sheffield’s iconic City Hall Ballroom has exploded into a nationwide phenomenon with over 85,000 happy dancers to date!
The Darkness

Dates: 12 March
Venue: Connexin Arena, Hull
Legends of rock, The Darkness, have returned to bedazzle and amaze once more as they serve up their eighth studio album Dreams On Toast in March 2025. Not only will Dreams On Toast feature arguably their best collection of songs yet, but The Darkness will also be hitting the road for their largest headline tour of the UK in years, solidifying their status as one of Britain, and indeed the world’s, most important rock bands.
Harry Hill

Venue: Leeds City Varieties Music Hall
Comedy royalty Harry Hill is gearing up for a brand-new live tour for 2025. Harry Hill: New Bits & Greatest Hits live tour celebrates Harry’s almost 30-year career in comedy in this, his 60th year on Planet Earth. The Badger Parade is back on! Marvel as he offers new insights into the hot topics of the day such as the demise of the SCART lead, The Culture Wars, the differences between crabsticks and rhubarb and the origins of Tiramisu.
