The Dynamo, Putney

Top 10 Brunch Spots

Known as the ‘hub for pizza, coffee and cycles’ this place is wheely good for brunch. Their menu emphasises the most important meal (breakfast) in an effort to get you going for the day ahead. Items include a range of egg-based dishes (including chilli scrambled eggs), as well as some delicious and healthy options like warm banana bread. We love the sound of their Breakfast Bowl made with chia seed pudding, DNMO granola, coconut yoghurt, mango puree, blended with summer fruits. If you’re a cycling aficionado, you’ll love that they show the Spring Classics live here.

Gazette Brasserie, Putney

Top 10 Brunch Spots

Gazette emulates the ethos and style of a French café. Sister to two other Gazette brasseries in Battersea and Balham, they offer a range of healthy, continental and cooked brunches and breakfasts for whatever takes your fancy. Start your day ‘á la Française’ and go for freshly cooked buttered croissants, pain au chocolat or sourdough with homemade jams and marmalade. Alternatively, go for a hearty cooked breakfast. They call it ‘the Full French’. If you’re looking for something quick and healthy, pick up a freshly made-to-order juice, smoothie or milkshake – with mix and match fruit to your taste.

The Queen Adelaide, Wandsworth

Top 10 Brunch Spots

On Saturdays, it’s got to be The Queen Adelaide. Brunch brings a veritable feast of classy dishes such as confit duck hash and smoked trout on a toasted muffin. Good news for those with pickled heads after a busy Friday night. They have a range of cold presses and smoothies designed to ‘beet’ the hangover out of you. Geddit? They also have a secret beer garden, a perfect way to spend brunch time in the sunshine.

This stylish and nautically-themed independent café in Wandsworth is full of Antipodean charm. A market-led menu offers an all-day brunch. Brew Café, Putney

Top 10 Brunch Spots

Brew is all about good values and an honest approach. Every day the butcher, Salvatore, cures the bacon using Camden Hells’ lager. Moran, the development chef, ensures you have the perfect eggs. The in-house gardener, David, grows all of the vegetables and herbs in the flourishing gardens. Pushing for local food, he has inspired Brew to launch their first farm site in 2017. And not forgetting where your croissants, bread or granola come from, Shani is Brew’s celebrated pastry chef. Aside from a mouthwatering selection of pancakes, banana bread and croissants, if you just fancy a bowl of Coco Pops you’ll be pleased to know that this is also on the menu.
