Franco Manca, various locations
Serving consistently tasty pizzas, Franco Manca are a London institution. While their sourdough is slowly risen over 20 hours, they source their organic tomatoes and cheeses locally. It’s this attention to detail that makes each fluffy slice delicious from start to finish.
Pizza East, various locations
This is one of the most popular pizza places in London. With an Italian-American base and “risky” topping selection – try the brilliant pork belly, crackling and mushroom pizza – The Soho House venture has gone from strength-to-strength with three restaurants open in Shoreditch, Kentish Town and Notting Hill.
Homeslice, various locations
Before finding residency, Homeslice existed as a nomadic wood-fired oven. Serving slices at street food markets across east London, their menu was short and sweet; pizza, beer and wine. The boys behind the oven, however, have always taken things to the next level with toppings such as mushroom, ricotta, pumpkin seed and chilli.
NY Fold, Soho
If you want a giant slice of really good pizza, NY Fold is your place. With copious amounts of cheese and toppings, the slice is made (just like those in New York) for folding so you get a ton of flavour in each bite.
Joe Public, Clapham
Once a public toilet, Joe Public now serves some of London’s best pizza. Opt for their Californian-style base with sausage, bacon, ground beef, pepperoni, caramelized onion and mozzarella on top. With boozy slushies, in-house beers and wine on tap, this place has everything you need.
