There are, however, key limits to remember that will need to be checked before going ahead. The conservatory can’t cover more than half the land around or be situated closer to the street than the original property; its height must stay within the existing building’s bounds, and its length depends on whether your house is detached (4m) or attached (3m). If any of these limits are exceeded, planning permission becomes necessary.
