It’s time for us to introduce five of our favourite new restaurants in London. From creative cocktails to fresh pasta to a seafood bar, from fine dining to intimate local spaces, these new restaurants bring something new and different to London’s restaurant scene. The first of our new London restaurants, Cin Cin started in 2013 when then-lawyer David Toscano bought a 1972 Fiat 850 van, kitted it out with bubbles and Italian bites and headed off to a street food event in Brighton with a dream to open his own restaurant. Cin Cin’s handmade pasta and antipasti, as well as a fully stocked Italian bar, very quickly earned them a loyal following. By 2017, they were ranked as sixth in the Top 20 Brighton BEST Restaurant Awards. In 2021, they expanded the Cin Cin brand again by making the jump to London with an opening in Fitzrovia in central London.

This Italian restaurant boasts pride of place on the corner of bustling Foley Street. And what is special about Cin Cin? It’s the warm and welcoming feel, the excellent service and the authenticity, which is apparent as soon as you sit down. Their ethos is not to compete for the tourist trade but to build a community of regular customers, and friendly staff.

The monthly changing Italian menu is small and seasonal, focusing on a few high-class dishes with excellent ingredients – perfect for an intimate dinner. Smooth burrata, warm soft bread, juicy Italian tomatoes. All of it is full of flavour and intrigue.

Our second new London restaurant was created by Fons de Visscher, a fishmonger of 27 years from Helmon, a small city in the Netherlands decided to start a new adventure. Driven by his passion for fish and great wines Fons created The Seafood Bar. The first restaurant opened its doors in 2012. Now they have 5 restaurants, 4 in the Netherlands and 1 in London, all of which are in Trip Advisor’s top 100 restaurants. Their London location is new open on Dean Street right in the heart of the Soho location of Central London just a short walk from Tottenham Court road.

They fiercely strive to provide small and large plates of fresh fish that have been wholly sustainably sourced; MSC Certified and focusing primarily on shellfish which is known for having a more minimal impact on the planet. They have a zero-waste policy, sharing any leftover fish with other restaurants before readjusting their stock ordering.

Their wine list is extensive, offering over 42 different options to pair perfectly with your dish including 7 different champagnes. One of their signature dishes is oysters with 6 different types of French and English sourced shellfish with varying flavour profiles to suit all tastes.

Our third of our new London restaurants, Langan’s legacy dates all the way back to 1976 when its first restaurant was opened by Peter Langan in partnership with Sir Michael Caine, on Stratton Street, in the heart of Mayfair. One of the true legends of the restaurant world, with it being the place to be seen back in the 70s and 80s, it was one of the main celebrity hangouts of its day.

Today, Graziano Arricale and James Hitchen have conducted a major refurb to recapture the spirit of the place, driven by a belief that it’s time for all of us to live a little. This newly reopened Mayfair restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and brings a touch of class and sophistication to the fine dining scene of Mayfair.

On the restaurant’s ground floor, there is a new wine bar with raw shellfish offerings, along with a lounge for afternoon tea. Downstairs they’ve added a private dining room as well as a capacious wine cellar. And upstairs will be an invite-only bar with a late licence, live entertainment, and an outdoor terrace for alfresco drinks or dining.

The food will focus on French classics such as:

  • Spinach Soufflé with Anchovy & Hollandaise Sauce
  • Langan’s Crab Cake with Bown Crab Dressing
  • Steak Diane Prepared Tableside with Madeira sauce
  • Macaroni ‘Nantua’ with Langoustine, Lobster, Girolles and Tarragon

Our fourth of our new London restaurants transports us much further East with a contemporary Indian restaurant created with local British produce. BiBi’s menu, inspired by the full multicultural span of Indian cuisine, also draws on the years Head Chef Chet Sharma has spent cooking and sourcing ingredients for some of the most esteemed Michelin-starred restaurants in the UK.

This new restaurant’s menu changes almost daily, driven by only the very best market produce. Bibi serves a range of surprisingly filling chaat and grill dishes primarily made on small plates. Each dish is unexpected; a playful interpretation of well-known classics.

The expertly drilled table service and ornate but intimate decor prove that not all high-end restaurants are built equally. Leafing through the menu, you’ll quickly come to a map of India detailing precisely where on the subcontinent all of the spices come from including a list of both classical and Indian inspired cocktails to choose from.

Bibi is the first and only restaurant of its kind, a debut for Chef Chet Sharma, and not one to miss on our list of London’s hottest new restaurants being only a stone’s throw from Oxford Circus.

The fifth of our new London restaurants, Manthan, is also Indian inspired offering not only their standard menu but an Experience’s menu, where they have pulled together complimentary signature dishes for your dinner party to share, as well as a wine pairing and traditional dessert.

Manthan, whose name means “learn through reflection” has been created from the mind of executive chef Rohit Ghai off the back of his previous successful sister restaurants Gymkhana and Jamavar. The menu focuses on sharing plates, cocktails and mocktails (inspired by the seven oceans of the world) drawn from his childhood in Madhya Pradesh as well as his experience in some of London’s best Indian restaurants.

The food is contemporary twists on some classics, with over half of the dishes being vegetarian, including;

  • Sarson chicken chop with mustard, kachumber salad and mint chutney
  • Goat shami kebab in bone marrow sauce
  • Ghati masala prawns with peanut, sesame seed and fresh coconut
  • A modern take on street-food favourite ram ladoo (mong daal fritters) with mooli, yellow lentil and pomegranate
  • Pyaz khachori (onions, mix bean sprouts and sweet & sour saunth chutney)
  • A Burford Brown egg curry with paratha
