Rose & Wild is the new boutique salon delivering expert hair colouring, bespoke styling and Insta-worthy interiors. We booked in for a cut and blow dry…
You won’t be able to miss this shining emporium of picture-perfect wonder as you pass by its window in Fulham. With the ever-growing Instagram culture in mind, the owner Siobhan has ensured every last detail of the salon is beautifully curated. From the flower-adorned swing (which is ideal for post-chop photoshoots), to the waiting area laden with pristine coffee table books.
It’s in this waiting area space, coined the ‘the consultation hub’ where I sit on the dreamiest pastel sofa to discuss my hair with Siobhan. An all-important step that mainstream salons can often overlook. We talked about how you can feel pressured and rushed to choose a style when the stylist is poised, scissors in hand. But with Rose & Wild, the consultation process actually starts before you even step foot into the salon – they send out an optional questionnaire to find out more about you. Because things like your personality and your wardrobe do inform your hairstyle and so they should be considered.
I was here for a blunt cut and a new fringe but they also have an array of amazing colour services – whether you’re looking for some subtle highlights or a full-on revamp, you’ll be in safe hands. After a conditioning and strengthening hair treatment and one of the best head massages I’ve ever had, my hair was ready for the chop. The fringe was a big change but Siobhan’s experience and friendly nature set my mind at rest. Before I knew it, I was admiring my swishy new haircut as it was being styled. I was talked through the steps so I’d be able to re-create the relaxed waves at home – and of course I got a photograph in the picture-perfect swing before I left!
