Season’s greetings
For any kind of festive (or fun) feast, Furna Brighton ticks all the boxes
Christmas is nearly upon us, and the team at Furna Brighton are not immune to the festive spirit. Throughout December they will be offering three separate menus; a shorter tasting menu for those looking for a quick lunch to break up the chore of Christmas shopping, their full tasting menu that will be available for both lunch and dinner for the classic Furna experience, and for larger groups of 6+ they have their feasting menu, perfectly designed for Christmas parties or other such festive celebrations.
Their classic tasting menu experience – 8 courses with a supplement cheese course – is the ideal way to experience Furna at its best; sit back, relax and let them take you on a culinary adventure through all the delights that the season has to offer. Expect incredible Cornish monkfish aged in house, large cuts of Sika deer cooked gently over coals, and indulgent apple tarte tatin with apples from the garden.
The shorter tasting menu comprises four hand picked courses from the classic tasting menu, with a choice of dishes. This is perfect for those looking for a quicker lunch, perhaps the Christmas shopping isn’t quite finished or a big breakfast was had. Either way, this is the perfect introduction to Furna if time is of the essence.
Bring on the Christmas parties! Furna’s feasting menu is designed with larger tables in mind – perfect for family gatherings or groups of friends celebrating the season. Expect centrepiece dishes of whole cuts of meat and fish cooked over fire, a delicious selection of snacks for the table and festive sides galore. Their Private Dining Room is perfect for such an occasion, seats up to 8 guests, and the evening is made extra special with your own private chef cooking from the open plan kitchen downstairs, and sommelier with exclusive access to their renowned and well stocked wine cellar. They also offer whole restaurant hires for those larger company parties with room for 28 covers upstairs.
They use only the best produce they can get their hands on, including some incredible rare breeds from Lyons Hill Farms in Dorset, outstanding shellfish from Scotland, and locally produced seasonal fruit and veg from Sussex based supplier Shrub Provisions who supply the best restaurants nationwide.
They look forward to welcoming you to Furna, be it your 10th visit or your first, and hope that you will join in the festivities with them (although if you are bah humbug about the whole season they do not discriminate – they promise not to mention the C word).
