The snowball effect has certainly come into play in London’s city district. It began when whispers of The Ned surfaced, next our most iconic eateries opened slick city sisters and before we knew it, the city was the place to be seen. With restaurants, bars and swanky hotels multiplying faster than you can say financial district, things don’t look to be slowing down soon. Here’s where to check out this summer…
THE NED
Forgot about the City being the place to be, The Ned is where it’s all happening. With nine restaurants, multiple bars, pool, spa, barber, hair dresser, nail salon and more, you’ll be hard pushed to find a spare minute during your stay.
DORSETT CITY HOTEL
Following the astounding success of Dorsett Shepard’s Bush comes the second venture for the group. Catering to be business and leisure guests, Dorsett City is cool and contemporary hideaway to party, relax and refresh.
TEMPER CITY
Temper restaurants deliver a dining experience to be remembered, cooking everything before you on an open fire pit. They opened a second establishment this summer, bringing their BBQ meats and New World wines to the city.
COYA ANGEL COURT
Since it’s launch in 2012, Coya has become one of the world’s most celebrated eateries. Coya Angel Court is the second UK branch for the Peruvian restaurant which also has outposts in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. With a restaurant, bar and Pisco lounge it’s a place to be and be seen.
BOB BOB EXCHANGE
Almost an Instagram entity in their own right, the Champagne switches at Bob Bob Ricard are just one of the many reasons to visit the Soho spot. With it’s English-Russian menu and endless fizz, this iconic eatery has acquired quite the following. It came as no surprise then to discover a second outpost will be popping-up in the city. Bob Bob Exchange will be as excessive as the original with the booths, the buttons, as well as a mini sushi restaurant inside.

BLACKLOCK
Blacklock have established an indisputable reputation for one of the best roast dinners in London. Hanging whole joints are cooked to absolute perfection over an open fire and served alongside Sunday roast staples. This year city-goers had all their meaty appeals answered when the Soho joint opened its little city brother.
THE IVY CITY GARDEN
The Ivy is cropping up everywhere at the moment but with its all-day menu offering the Best of British, it’s easy to see why it’s one of London’s favourites. While the food is divine, you can’t beat The Ivy City Garden for a cocktail or two. Classic tipples with a creative twist are served from within an urban jungle space and the retractable shelter means you can be there come rain or shine.
THE LAMPERY
Opening September, this all-day dining spot will provide good, honest cooking in the heart of historic London. Sitting within the Apex Hotel City of London, the Best of British menu celebrates the diversity and eclecticism of our cuisine today. Just a stone’s throw from the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, The Lampery is the ideal venue alike for city-goers and tourists alike.
