The Creek is a family run business in the truest sense, with the owners Terence and Caroline Howard’s daughter Gabrielle, 20, having now gained 18 months experience working alongside her dad in the kitchen. Gabrielle has future ambitions to join the Essex police force, but for now is enjoying getting positive feedback from diners regarding the food she helps create.

It’s never too early to prepare for Christmas… Talbooth Restaurant takes on a magical atmosphere in December for the run-up to Christmas, with special menus, rooms for private dining and a special stay at Talbooth House & Spa. Their Christmas Gourmet Menu is a delicious five-course menu, available every evening from 1-23 December (excluding Sundays), priced at £85 per person for dinner only. It can be enjoyed with an optional wine flight that is £65 per person to accompany the menu to enhance each dish.

Restaurateur Roberto Costa, known for his much-loved restaurant group, Macellaio RC, has now opened the doors to Fish Game, located in Canary Wharf. True to its name, Fish Game puts ultra-seasonal, sustainable British ingredients centre stage, showcased by a pared-back seasonal changing menu of the UK’s best game and fish – meticulously sourced from around the UK and surrounding waters. Monkfish from Cornwall, langoustines from Isle of Skye, game meat from Windsor Park and mutton from Yorkshire are all simply cooked over the ash and charcoal within a bank of grills.
