Things to do this weekend in London
Go ice skating
Get your skates on and get ready to glide (or stumble) as Alexandra Palace’s famous ice rink is now open for the winter season. There are new Covid precautions in place with a one-way skating system and all sessions must be pre-booked as capacity is limited. For south Londoners, The Queen’s House ice rink in Greenwich is now open too.
Pick pumpkins
Tis the season to visit a patch and there are plenty of farms a short way from London where you can find your perfect pumpkin. A few of our favourites include Cammas Hall in Hertfordshire, Crockford Bridge farm in Surrey and Four Winds Farm in Kent. Plus there’s Love Wimbledon’s Halloween Pumpkin Hunt, on until 1 November. Go on a cocktail tour
This weekend marks the end of London Cocktail Month, but it’s not too late to get involved. Purchase a wristband and get discounted cocktails at hundreds of bars in the city, plus access to workshops and masterclasses with distillers, top spirits brands and mixologists. Read our highlights here.
Dine outdoors
We’ve rounded up 29 of our favourite outdoor dining areas, from cosy terraces to covered gardens so that you can still socialise while respecting Tier 2 Coronavirus restrictions.
Play foosball
Have some football fun at London’s first foosball bar which features four championship grade tables. At Foosball Club, guests can snack on pizza and order drinks from the fully stocked bar in own area with seating for up to four people, while private areas can be booked for up to six people.Â
Embrace the great outdoors
With new Tier 2 restrictions meaning you can’t socialise indoors with people outside of your household, it’s time to head outside. From a treetop roof course to a city farm, we’ve rounded up 14 fun things to do outdoors in London.
Visit Cromwell Place
This new artistic hub in west London consists of an exhibition area, viewing rooms, artist studio space and more. With an aim to support the art community and showcase up-and-coming talent and established names alike, highlights this month include a public exhibition exploring the concept of time and of eternal life from Antiquity to the Modern Era.
