LONDON COCKTAIL WEEK
The world’s biggest cocktail festival is back to showcase the capital’s very best bars and mixologists with an unmissable line-up of events, £6 drinks, pop-ups and more. Catch all the fun as it unfolds this weekend. Here’s what you need to know.
UNLIMITED PIES AT DOMINIQUE ANSEL BAKERY
To celebrate the start of autumn (and pie season) Chef Dominique Ansel is bringing his beloved Pie Night to London for the very first time. Lucky Londoners who manage to get their hands on a ticket will be able to expand their waistbands with unlimited portions of ten different pies, both sweet and savoury. The event takes place on the 24th and 25th of October and pre-booking for tickets will launch on Friday 5th at midday. In New York tickets sell out within two minutes so be sure to bag yours quickly.
HARVESTFEST
London’s most imaginative rooftop destination, Skylight is embracing the changing season with HarvestFest, an all-new celebration of autumn to help Londoners transition into the colder months. Expect a whole host of seasonal additions, events and surprises that define this beautiful season – from apple ciders and warming spiced cocktails, to Horseshoes and Hay Bale Skittles.
BLACKTAIL NYC AT THE BLOOMSBURY CLUB BAR
Following a resoundingly successful stint last year, the critically-acclaimed BlackTail NYC is back at The Bloomsbury Club Bar for one night only to shake up an exclusive menu of cocktails. It comes from the team behind Dead Rabbit, another of New York’s best bars. They’ve created an innovative cocktail menu for guests to enjoy from 6pm until midnight including BlackTail favourites and bespoke creations.
DANCE UMBRELLA
Dance Umbrella is London’s international dance festival, celebrating 21st century choreography across the capital. This weekend, families can enjoy a playful performance from multidisciplinary group, Dadodans as they present KoKERS. A plethora of cardboard tubes, playful choreography and percussive sound combine to form a show perfect for both the young and the young-at-heart.
CAMDEN MARKET FARMERS’ MARKET
As harvest gets underway, Camden Market launches an exciting new weekly farmers’ market to showcase the very best of the season’s bounty. This one-stop-shop for local and UK-wide produce will offer everything from organic fruit and veg to artisan bread, cheeses, deli produce and sweet treats.
WRIGHT BROTHERS REOPENS IN SOHO
Wright Brothers, the seafood and oyster specialists have reopened the doors to their Soho joint with a spectacular new look and a menu to match. The 82-cover restaurant has been designed with social dining in mind, as has the new menu which will focus on sharing and small plates.
