HALLYU! THE KOREAN WAVE

The ‘Korean Wave’ began to swell in the 1990s and has gone on to reach all corners of the world since then. This landmark exhibition celebrates the culture of South Korea in all its forms and will feature around 200 objects. Visitors will get to learn about the fascinating socio-political context behind some of the country’s most iconic cultural exports, including the global phenomenon, K-Pop.
LONDON DESIGN FESTIVAL

One of the key moments of the city’s cultural calendar has returned for the 20th year running. London’s Design Festival will bring together some of the most innovative and creative minds in the design world. With a full programme of must-see events, exhibitions and installations, it’s sure to be a thought-provoking week.
FIRST IMPRESSION

A rather fragile new group show is coming to Charles Burnand’s Fitzrovia gallery. “First Impression” is a celebration of the glory of glass, timed to coincide with the UN’s International Year of Glass; the exhibition will feature pieces by both established and emerging artists.
THE TEMPEST
Shakespeare’s Globe
Until 22 October
Shakespeare’s Tumultuous tale of reckoning and redemption will be taking place poolside. In the Globe’s newest production of the Tempest, Prospero doesn’t escape to an enchanted island, but rather to a holiday resort. But don’t let the budgie-smugglers and inflatable-flamingos fool you, this light-hearted adaptation retains all the dark undercurrents of the source material and betrayal and revenge will abound.

Landmark Arts Centre

Back by popular demand, the Kate Bush tribute band, Cloudbusting, will return to the Landmark Arts Centre with their new show, ‘Love & Anger’. This breath-taking show will take you on a journey through Kate’s extraordinary repertoire and will perform all her greatest hits.
