Working from home means more no-makeup days and less exposure to pesky pollution. So why not use this time to try and tackle your skin’s problem areas? Here are 5 skincare tips for working from home

Skincare Tips For Working From Home
Even though you’re working from home it’s important to protect your skin from UV rays which can penetrate through windows – plus you’ll probably be leaving the house at some point whether it’s to go to the shops or pop out for a walk.
According to Alexia Medlock, Bioderma UK Brand Manager: “UV rays reach your skin everyday no matter the weather, so it is very important to use sun protection even on a cloudy day and even if you are inside. People get caught as they associate UV ray danger to sunny days and to the feeling of heat produced by Infra-red, which in fact doesn’t damage your skin. It is the UV rays which are harder to feel so more difficult to think about but are as important to protect against.”

Remember To Cleanse
It’s important to clean your skin even if you’re not wearing makeup as you still need to wash away the dirt, dust (and hopefully, SPF) on your skin. We love the Summer Fridays Super Amino Gel Cleanser as it’s a light gel formula, great for oily skin but still hydrating thanks to the amino acids and vitamin E packed in the product. Plus, the seafoam green bottle will look gorgeous in any shelfie.

Massage Your Face
Katie White, holistic therapist and founder of re:lax Skin Studio, says there are a multitude of benefits to facial massage, whether its done by a professional or at home: “Facial massage stimulates blood flow and encourages more collagen and elastin production which leaves the skin glowing,” she says. “Massage also helps the lymphatic system to clear congestion and prevent breakouts.”
You’ll need a face oil for the massage and Katie recommends the Nini Organics Detox Oil.

Working from home is the perfect time to tackle any problem areas like pesky spots that you normally just cover up with makeup and don’t have the time to properly treat. Try the COSRX blemish patches, which eliminate infection and bacteria by breaking down dirt and oil. Plus they’re near invisible and can be worn under makeup.

Nourish Dry Skin
Frequent handwashing and use of cleaning products can make our skin rough and dry, especially our hands. Use a nourishing hand and nail cream like Weleda’s Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream will keep them smooth and supple.

Central heating can cause the skin to become more dehydrated, so a nourishing face moisturiser like this one from UpCircle is vital to keep dryness at bay. It’s sustainably made from finely-ground powder of discarded argan shells, a natural by-product of the argan oil industry.
