Things to do this weekend in London
Go Underground with Plonk Golf in Peckham
Just when we thought we could cram no more into the much-loved Peckham Levels, they’ve gone and installed a golf course. PLONK Golf has gone down south and underground, positioning itself in the basement of the multi-storey car park. Make your way around the course of loops, ramps, beams and ball drops, before heading upstairs to indulge in south London’s finest street food.

Yoga & Brunch at Fiume
This Sunday, yoga guru Molly Robinson will be leading an al fresco Vinyasa Ashtanga class on Fiume’s sunny piazza-style terrace. Once done with the downward dogs, Yogis can refuel in the restaurant with a wholesome Italian brunch. The menu includes beetroot salad with yoghurt and salsa verde and avocado bruschetta with poached eggs, all to be washed down with the brand new Fiume smoothies.
Mexican Brunch with Bottomless Margaritas
There’s a brand new bottomless brunch in town and it comes from much-loved modern Mexican restaurant, Ella Canta. Served from 11.30am every Saturday and Sunday, guests can indulge in the likes of scrambled Mexican eggs with black beans and maize totopos or the hearty and hangover-busting Mexican bread stuffed with slow cooked pork and adobo salsa. Satisfy that sweet tooth with classic Mexican churros and really get the party started with unlimited margaritas.

Costa del Tottenham
The Cause is making the most of the glorious heatwave by creating its own slice of paradise in Tottenham Hale. Costa Del Tottenham has London’s first outdoor swimming pool next to a club, 15 foot palm trees and enough plants to create a little oasis for north London. Over the next few months expect pool parties, DJ’s, live bands and cocktail masterclasses by the house rum supplier Pirate’s Grog Rum. The BYO-BBQ will be in full swing throughout so bring meat, bring mates and the in-house BBQ team will cook up a storm for you.
Brunch at Brick House
Brick House, the award winning East Dulwich bakery specialising in slow fermentation, San Francisco sourdough have just launched a weekend brunch at their East Dulwich Warehouse and Peckham Rye cafe. Brick House’s famous breads feature heavily in the line-up in the form of sourdough ‘Migas’, a Spanish twist on fried bread served with chorizo, braised peppers and a fried egg and toasted brioche with lemon mascarpone and roasted peaches. All this plus a selection of sweet and savoury Brick House toasts and pastries, cold-pressed juices and freshly-brewed Square Mile coffee.
The Botanical Garden
New to east London this week is The Botanical Garden, a green, underground oasis from The Botanist Gin and Worship Street Whistling Shop. Â Here, Londoners can discover, taste and learn about UK-foraged botanicals and experimental cocktails with an exclusive menu inspired by local and seasonal plants. Each cocktail focuses on one botanical, including nettle, sorrel and chamomile, that, unexpectedly, can all be foraged for in many London parks. Explore and educate yourself at the foraging table, before heading to the bar with a chosen plant and sipping a cocktail created in its honour.
