Things to do this weekend in London
CANVAS BOMBAY
The latest venture from Bombay Sapphire invites Londoners to join a group of 15 international artists in the transformation of a space from a blank canvas into a living work of art. Totally immersive and guaranteed fun, guests will be invited to whip up their own creative cocktails at the Bombay Sapphire and Tonic wall which features a range of G&T-on-tap options. Guests will select from one of four colours and flavours and will complete the cocktail at the pick-your-own garnish garden.
Tickets are priced at £12 and can be purchased by visiting bombaysapphirecanvas.com. As part of the global mission to Stir Creativity, Bombay Sapphire will donate all ticket sales proceeds from the CANVAS London event to charity Developing Artists.
ICHIBA
This week saw the launch of Europe’s largest Japanese Food Hall, a one-stop-shop for lovers of sushi, ramen, miso and more. Ichiba is located just off the new Westfield Square and makes up part of the centre’s new leisure and dining experience. Expect a range of food stations dedicated to freshly prepared and cooked Japanese cuisine, and a main food hall offering a large range of Japanese staples and kitchen essentials, from rice and tea, to a wide selection of sake and confectionery.
KERB: THE BUCKET LIST
Street food trailblazers KERB are back this summer with London’s ultimate fried chicken battle. With two days and eight traders, The Bucket List is the ultimate fried chicken adventure taking place from the 20th – 21st of July. Expect incredible one-off chicken creations from KERB’s traders plus some exciting new guests including South London’s favourite fried chicken fast food chain, Morley’s.
SUMMER COCKTAILS AT ZUMA
Zuma is transporting Londoners to the sunny Caribbean this summer with a tantalising new line-up of cocktails with a Tiki twist. The Japanese restaurant and bar in Knightsbridge has teamed up with Plantation Rum to introduce the new Tiki-Yaki cocktail menu. Our favourite is the Japanese Breeze, made with Plantation’s Xaymaca Rum, sweet ume juice, fragrant peach, creamy mango puree and aromatic bitters.
THE PALOMA PARLOUR
From the Caribbean to the coasts of Mexico, The Paloma Parlour has popped up in Covent Garden this week, setting itself up as London’s newest summer drinking destination. Offering guests an escape to the tropics with a true taste of Mexico, The Paloma Parlour open in modern Mexican restaurant, Cantina Laredo and will feature a dedicated Paloma infusion menu filled with fruity cocktails and grapefruit guacamoles.
BURGER & LOBSTER KITCHEN TAKE-OVER
This month, Burger & Lobster move into Fulham’s newest eclectic late-night neighbourhood bar and restaurant, The Little Blue Door. The week-long feast, which is on now until Sunday 22nd July, will see Burger & Lobster take on The Little Blue Door’s everyday menu, serving up everything from Lobster Benedict, egg-filled burgers and lobster salads, all served alongside bottomless prosecco and House Punch. The Little Blue Door’s flatmates traditional Sunday roasts will be transformed into the specially created ‘Roast and Coast’, the ultimate surf and turf Sunday feast. Customers can also expect to be served Lobster croquettes, Lobster Rolls and of course the go to Burger & Lobster combo will feature heavily throughout the week.
