Around the World at Balls & Company
This June, meatball specialists Balls & Company are taking a whirlwind trip around the world. The venue’s new menu takes inspiration from founder Bonny Porter’s favourite flavours from afar. Bonny will take guests from Morocco to Mexico, Italy to Argentina, for one month only. Maynards Bassetts Sweet Art Gallery
Sweet lovers are in for a treat this weekend as Maynards Bassetts opens the doors to the UK’s first Sweet Art Gallery. The unique pop-up offers art and sugar lovers a chance to delve into Willy Wonka’s world with all their favourites from Bassetts under one roof. HIR at Bush Theatre
New this weekend to the Bush Theatre is Taylor Mac’s sly, subversive comedy, Hir. Isaac gets back from serving in the Marines to find war has broken out at home – his mum is blowing up entrenched routines. In a cheap house made of plywood and glue, notions of masculinity and femininity become weapons with which to defeat the old order.

Gelato Festival
What better way to cool down than with vats and vats of gelato? Throughout the month, the best producers from across the country will be taking part in London’s Gelato Festival. Marie Antoinette, Brown Bread & Butter and Bakewell Tart are just three of the intriguing creations on offer. Tantalise your taste buds with chocolate miso and coconut, extra dark chocolate with real Yorkshire tea and more. A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Omnibus Theatre are hosting a magical, immersive adventure with their unique performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Part treasure hunt, part play set in the streets, this interactive theatre experience brings to life Shakespeare’s Classic tale of love and mischief on a summer’s night. The starting point will be emailed to participants 24 hours before their mission commences. All locations are within walking distant of Omnibus Theatre.

The Japanese House at the Barbican
Step inside the Barbican’s ‘The Japanese House’ and across to the other side of the world. Their latest exhibition outlines the history and context of Japanese domestic post-war architecture. Discover photography, film, architectural drawings, model houses, maquettes, and a reconstructed Japanese tea-room. They all come together to explain a very different ‘home’ that is worlds away from our own.
